The Knights of Transparency held a meeting with the former Minister of Justice, His Excellency Dr. Ibrahim Al-Jazi, to talk about the annexation of the Jordan valley.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Al-Jazi began by speaking about the issue of Palestine and Jordan\u2019s continued intention to resolve this issue through international resolutions that stipulate the establishment of a Palestinian state according to the 1967 borders.\u00a0 He then discussed the annexation of the Jordan Valley and the so-called \u201cdeal of the century\u201d as well as the Jordanian position rejecting this annexation and this deal. He stated that Jordan believes this plan will not produce a viable Palestinian state in its current situation. He also talked about Jordanian contacts with the American administration, Jordan\u2019s role as a key player in this issue and its role in the Hashemite guardianship of Islamic and Christian sanctities.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Al-Jazi emphasized that the stance taken by Arab nations internationally has not been strong enough to support the needs of Palestine, and that for things to change there is a need for cohesive, international Arab and Islamic support.\u00a0 He then called out the breach and violation of international law and international legitimacy, specifically United Nations Security Council Resolution No. 242. Al-Jazi clarified that the role of Arab nations is vital to the movement towards creating lasting change in Palestine.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The guest completed his discussion and the attendees were given the opportunity ask questions.\u00a0 Questions were centered around the papers owned by Jordan, the fate of the Wadi Araba agreement, and the economic impact of this annexation in the medium and long term.\u00a0 Al-Jazi confirmed that Israel is well aware of the importance of Jordan and the importance of agreements, treaties, and security coordination with it. He added that the Wadi Araba agreement guarantees the protection of the borders, and thus this annexation is a violation of this agreement.\u00a0 He added that the increase in tension affects the economy and investment, but reminded listeners that Jordan is used to such tensions.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">In the end, His Excellency Dr. Ibrahim Al-Jazi said that there is a complete and integrated Zionist project that is always ready and planning, and looks at the future with passion.
